Description

At the outset of the performance, you might say to your audience that there's a magic trick you've recently taken a particular liking to, and ask if they're willing to experience the marvel of mind reading.

With the audience's consent, you bring out a playing card (actually, it's a Rainbow card with a Bicycle card sticker on the back, making it look more like a standard playing card). You then tell the audience that all they need to do is hold this card close to their forehead, and it will read their thoughts—works every time!

Next, you lead into a "think of a card" routine as a setup for the ending. Once the spectator has thought of a card, you have them take a photo with the Rainbow card as a souvenir.

You ask the spectator what card was in their mind, "The Seven of Hearts!!" And you're spot on! But when the spectator checks their phone, they're greeted with an awkward little image (a tiny cherry)! (This is when you've cleverly switched the Rainbow card.)

To break the ice and recover from the awkward moment, you say, "This trick is sure to never fail!" Encourage the spectator to perform a magical gesture, like kissing the card (which has been switched), suggesting it might just work this time! With the atmosphere perfectly set, you finally reveal the Seven of Hearts!!! BINGO.

It's all about getting it just right, making this a magic trick that truly allows you to express yourself!

We can't help but admire how Higar has fully utilized the Rainbow gimmick, from predicting card, to mirror signatures, instant photographs, pendants, and more. If you're an avid collector of Rainbow gimmicks, make sure to add this one to your collection!
